There Are Missals Everywhere
A downloadable story
A transgender sysadmin is startled by the appearance of a magical city floating over the port and yearns to somehow arrive in its untarnished streets. A tale of near-future cyberpunk ennui, fantasy, and coming out aggressively to bigots online.
Inspired by the fiction of A. E. Waite as well as the author's own experience of learning they were nonbinary, this short story (~4000 words) is slice of heartfelt yearning for we-don't-know-what.
